My mother-in-law shoveled gravel until she was 80.
In fact, she built a stone wall to celebrate her own 80th birthday.
She is one tough cookie. I'm not kidding...I do NOT mess with my wife's mom.

I surprised the youth group last Sunday.
We
always have a lot of laughs and a lot of talking at our meetings. At one
point, the teens asked me if I believe in ghosts. I do not. Most of
them do believe in ghosts. It surprised them that I do not.

Mark 1: 14-20
“Chasing Jesus”
In the name of God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
This Gospel story we have just heard reminds me of Pearl. Years ago,
when I had just started teaching elementary school, I took my second
grade class on a field trip to Story Town USA, now called The Great
Escape, in Lake George, New York.
